Top 2 Tuesday - Dates

This week Taylor at The Undomestic Momma is doing 2 of your favorite dates. Because my hubby is terribly UNromantic our dates where usually dinner and movie. We dont get to do many dates these days with three kids. But I thought I would list my dream dates!

1. First date would be a picnic on the beach. There is nothing I like better than to just sit on the beach and listen to the waves crashing and birds chirping. I would like it on a secluded beach on a private island with no kids screaming (hey, its my date right lol)

2. Another favorite date would be to go to a huge amusement park. I love adventure!

and I would eat one of these... You cant go to Six Flags without getting a funnel cake, or at least I cant!
Well thats my top 2 this week!

Be sure to check out my very first giveaway going on Here

Weekend Recap

We had a pretty laid back weekend. :)

Friday after we picked Pate up from school (last day!) we took Parker to the dentist. Well right beside the dentist is, none other than my favorite store, Hobby Lobby!!! We didnt necessarily need anything but we were a little early for the appointment so we ventured over to it. We ended up getting a few things for Pates birthday party. He was so excited to pick things out. Its a Army Style Party. After that we went to his appt which didnt take too long, then we went to Walmart for a few things.

Saturday I wanted to go to Yard Sales, which I love! I was very disappointed. We didnt find one good sale :( After we went to my parents for a visit and let the boys swim. They didnt stay in too long cause the water was freezing! After they swam for a while we went to my uncles place. He has lots and lots of chickens and rabbits. He has chickens in incubators, baby chicks, and grown chicken & roosters. Peyton loved it. He asked his PawPaw for 2 chickens in a cage for his birthday. I hope they both forget about it lol. After the chicken visit we went to eat at the kids favorite pizza place.

Sunday we had a cookout at my parents. The weather was perfect!!! 90 degrees most the day. The water warmed up nicely. Kids enjoyed it. The hubs enjoyed throwing me in, clothes and all. And my oldest brother & his kids came also and enjoyed the water!

It was such a nice weekend! However since this was a relaxing weekend I never once picked up my camera. Whoops. Hopefully you can visualize lol.

This coming up weekend is going to be great and I will post more about that later! Have a good Monday!

So this morning, I crawled!!! outta bed at 4:30am and went to the gym! I must say it wasnt to bad!!! Hard to believe huh? I am going tomorrow morning same time! I know crazy right! I have alot of determination right now and I am not sure where came from but I like it and hope its stays! Will post how next week weighin goes next Thursday so stay tuned & follow!

Tutoring!

We are wanting to get P1 a tutor for the summer and possibly throughout the next school year. P1 is in kindergarten now and we are holding him back again for a couple reasons. He is the youngest in his class with a June birthday, he had major surgery in January and was out for about three weeks, and he is a boy. On top of all this he has ADHD. His teacher has said that all of these things has contributed to his being behind. So my question is this. How often should he be going to a tutor? And what is the going rate these days? Should the tutor be coming to my home or him go to theirs?
I called a number that the school gave me. She is an old retired teacher that has tutored about 30 years for the school. She does it in her home for 1 hour a week. We have to drop him off. (I am VERY unsure about this because I have never dropped him off with someone other than family before). She charges $30/hr to do it.
What are your thoughts on this. I am just looking for advice. Is it even worth it for him to have this tutor? Everyone keeps telling me that I will see a world of difference with him being held back just the extra year.

Show us Your Life Friday!

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner

Its Show Us Your Life over at Kelly's Korner. This weeks topic is you kids (or future kids) names.

Kid names have never been a problem for me. When I was a kid, the one thing I knew I wanted to do in life was be a mommy. I wanted 7 when I was younger and didnt realize the work and financial aspect of raising kids lol. I had all their names picked out and everything. Well once the hubs and I got married we decided on two. I really wanted two boys and I wanted them to be named Zildjian (pronounced Zil-jan) Bret & Sabian Jabe. I know weird right? Well when I got pregnant my parents and everyone else really urged me to not name him that. So I finally agreed that maybe that wasnt such a great name and to give him something a bit more usual. We didnt have a name picked until we found out he was a boy. We were watching on of our weekly shows (One Tree Hill) and their was a girl named Peyton & I looked at the hubs and said I love that name and he said he did too and from then on..He was Peyton! This first name is Kristopher after his daddy. We named him Kristopher Peyton because Peyton Kristopher didnt sound as good. We call him Peyton and it fits him perfectly.

When we found out we were pregnant a mere 6 months after I delivered our first I was hoping for a boy. After all I had always wanted two boys. With him we did pick both names. For a girl he was to be named Kylie Paige (not sure where those names came from) and for a boy Kollin Parker. We wanted them to have the same initals. Once again we were watching tv and one show had a Detective and her last name was Parker and that is what they called her. I loved it and we quickly agreed that we would call him that. Kollin is after my great grandfather. We spelled it with a K because our oldest first name is also with a K.

And we thought we were finished....then Parker turned two and I had baby fever. I dont know what came over me but I was bitten hard by the baby bug! I knew I wanted a girl after the boys but the hubs quickly told me..Boy or Girl were done lol! We found out we were in fact having a girl and I was searching online for girly stuff and came across a diaper bag that was monogrammed Presley. I knew that was our daughters name. I loved it and so did hubs (I kinda think that he just agrees with me cause he knows theres no chance of winning lol). We also knew her middle name would be a version of Kate/Katie. I couldnt decide until the last minute what her middle name was to be. The hubs grandmother is Kathryn(I didnt like this spelling) and we wanted to honor her but I wasnt sure if I liked Presley Katherine better or Presley Kate better. DH didnt care so I finally decided on Presley Katherine and would call her Presley-Kate. But now that she is here we either just call her Presley or Katiebug!

So that is how we/I got our kids name.

We are done for sure because I had Essure done but if I could have more their names would be either Paxton for a boy or Paisley for a girl.

Go to Kellys page and link up and let us know about your kids or future kiddos names.

Parker's Surgery Update

Tuesday Parker had tubes put in his ears and his adenoids removed. We arrived at the hospital at 6:35am (5 minutes late..whoops) and two nurses came into the room right behind us and immediately started working h im up. One was asking us the usual questions and the other was doing vitals on him. After they finished one of them went to get the "red" medicine. It make the child "loopy" so that they arent freaked out when they go to the OR. Well everytime they would put this stuff in his mouth he would throw up. He said it was NASTY!!! We told him if he didnt take it they would have to give him a shot. He knew he didnt want a shot but he just couldnt take the medicine. He is normally very good with medicine so I know this has to be some gross stuff. The Anesthesiologist came in and we decided to go ahead with the shot. So he left the room and came back in within minutes. He had the shot with him but he was awesome about not letting Parker see it. Even when he went to give it to Parker he was so quick he had it behind him, gave Park the shot, and took it back and disposed of it so quickly that Parker never even saw it. He was AMAZING!

He hates shots, can you tell. Bless his heart. :(

Anyways, after the Dr gave him the shot, it was about 3 minutes and they were ready to wheel him to the OR. It was 7:10am. at that time. They were moving VERY quickly there that day, thank goodness! At 7:25am they nurse in the OR called me to let me know everything was going great and they would come out and get me when he was in recovery. Then at 7:35am she called again and said they were done and would be out in a few minutes so that I could go back with him. It was around 7:50am when they let me go back with him. He was still knocked out and snoring when I got back there so we let him sleep for about 20 more minutes. We finally woke him up and he was so happy to see Mommy. After a few minutes and some Apple juice we got to go back to our regular room where Daddy, Sister, and Maw-maw & Paw-Paw were waiting. He was still alittle disoriented but was happy it was over. He said "I wanna go home" So the nurse came in and said when he goes to the bathroom he can have his IV out and go home. Well Parker said he needed to go Potty so we took him. The nurse came in took the IV out and said we were free to go. We left at 9:20 am. Here is a picture of when he came out after surgery. :)

Big Day

Tomorrow is Parkers big day! He is having surgery. He has to have tubes again and this time they are taking his adenoids out. He had tubes when he was 1 1/2 but one has since came out and the other is halfway out and both his ears are causing him lots of pain. He does have slight hearing loss in his left ear but nothing significant. Poor little guy. The Doctor said that usually children who have ear problems like Parker usually grow out of it after having the tubes once, but since Parker is still having problems they were going to take the adenoids out this time to see if that would help him. Park is very nervous but we have explained everything to him as much as we can to a 4.5 year old and he knows this will help his little ears. Luckily for me they will not put the IV in until he is asleep! He is a very good boy, but he is different with needles than Peyton is. Peyton is one tough cookie to go through what he went through in January. We have to be at the hospital tomorrow at 6:45! Ugh, thats early! Owell at least we wont have to wait long since he cant eat past midnight! Everyone keep us in your thoughts tomorrow and I will post an update when I can!
